I am looking to buy a 97 - 2002 Grand Prix GT, and I was wondering if many if any of them came with HUD...and if not, what it might cost to put one in? Thanks in Advance

i believe only the GTP models came with HUD...

I might be wrong though

Alright...well, like I said, if I really want it that bad I can find one at an auto wreckers here and take the dash and the whole systrem and put it in my car

It was optional on GTs.. I was gonna pull one from a 98 GT at the wreckers one day..

Ok, well when I buy one then I'll try to hold out for one with HUD...because I love that feature

Or just buy a GTP and use Regular in it. I test drove one that has only ever had regular and it had balls

We've gone over this before. The L67 cannot properly compensate (read: pull boost) for regular octane gasoline, which can cause predetonation and chipped pistons.

haha...Yeah I dunno...I talked to alot of people and just for everyday driving they said it's fine...I'll see whee this crazy world takes me

don't ever ask those people for any other automotive related advice again...............................ever

Oh those people...yeah. I thought you meant these people and I was man, I've been shunned haha. But then I started to think Mid grade but I dunno, if I'm not gonna go big I might as well go home...In a Grand Prix GT so I don't need premium

premium fuel is only ~$.10 more per gallon....that is less that a $2 difference per fill up....what is the big deal?

Posted

It's more like ~0.15 more per litre for 91... top up 60L that's $9 a tank. Is 89 octane good enough for L67s, or is 91 what it should have?

Posted

Now that is a good question. WOuld Mid Grade cut it on an L67?

the dash, the manual and the gas door all say "PREMIUM FUEL ONLY"....if you can't afford gas then don't buy one

I suppose that'd be the best solution, for all things involved!
