Regal_GS_1989 Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 in park, warm, running, and on level ground. Make sure the car has warmed up Yup, When I used to work at the tranny shop last summer, we would always shift them between drive and reverse a few times and let the car roll a few inches each direction. Always got a proper reading this way. Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Matt it's in the owners manual for '94. Do you have the manual? If not, I can scan that page tomorrow at work. Just let me know. Quote
1990lumina Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 I always go through all the gears, sometimes i'll load the converter too just for the hell of it, then check the fluid in park, with engine running Quote

SigEpCutlass Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 I'll do it tomorrow at work. I can't remember the exact order you should go in with the gears and for how long etc. However, I do remember that the car must be at normal operating temp when you check it/add if necessary. Quote
