Cam'ron
pulseing brake pedal...? i had to stop from about 70kmh in a hell of a hurry yesterday and since then my brake pedal has been pulsing like mad every tume i touch the brakes, there was absoutley nothing wrong with my brakes before this, the only pulse i would feel was the abs working. could this one stop have warped a rotor or could this be something else? i was planning a tranny service before our drumheller meet but i dont want to be doing brakes as well... any ideas

1990lumina
I'd say warped rotor or something over heated in your sudden stop. I've made a couple HARD stops and the brake has a bet of a pulsation that comes and goes....I dont care though because it's not bad enough to fix anything.... THe_DeTAiL3R
Maybe one of the pads is loose/broken (does it make any noise?).. or rotor I'm thinking as well..
Cam'ron
nah no extra noise or anything just the vibration, maybe if i get a chance over the weekend i will get it looked at
Pabz
hell, bring it over and we can check it out. you can even get them checked out at part source
cutlass1991
My brakes would vibrate a lot becuase I used cheap rotors and good ceramic pads. The ceramic pads generated too much heat for the rotors to handle, and the surface became very wavy. I drove it for about 6 months like that and ended up having to replace my 2 year old tie rod ends. I guess the vibration killed them.
Cam'ron
while out at the lake this weekend i had my uncle look at the car and he took it for a spin and pulled the wheels to look at the brakes... he told me that he could do front brakes for about 120 bucks, with my old pads, they have a ton of life left on them. he said that was basically a deal on an hours labor and 2 new rotors. i really dont have time to do this is that a decent price for brakes, it seems ok to me. whaddya think

Regal_GS_1989
This may be a long shot, but try torquing all of your wheel nuts to 100 ft/lbs, and in a star pattern. The brakes on my regal and my cutlass used to pulsate, and torquing the lug nuts properly seemed to eliminate most of it.
