I need some help (go figure..I am a leech)

I heard a rumor that people with series II and III 3.8's are hooking up the 6-speeds to their cars...These 6 speeds are from the G6. Please tell me I can do this. PS does any-one know the code for those trannies??

The 6 speed is an F40 transmission. It will bolt up to any 60*v6 engine. A future dream I have for the TGP. :willynilly:

Fiero guys are using them in their cars and adapters have been made for it to bolt to SBC's and NorthStar Caddy engines.

Brian, as far as difficulty how hard would it be to convert. Second how much has this cost you thus far? BTW huge help already... I think I need to open another account just for this project.

Im goin this route for my car

I am goin through GM to get a new 6 speed.. The clutch, shifter, all that will be cake for me to get..

..Brianteel, how is the setup as far as clutch depression and gear shifting? What I mean is do the 6 speeds use master and slave cylinders as we know them?

no they are not the same. the clutch master is but it has a internal slave cylinder. the best way to do it is use the w-body pedals and master then use everything else for the 6spd. i have a list of parts.
