GutlessSupreme
there was a '95ish GP coupe on campus that had those tips.. very clean car, and the tips looked fucking pimp on it. I plan on getting a set myself for the TSTE, once I have cash laying around to go over the exhaust. nice buy
Brian P
cool, so you've seen them around. All the places I've been to around here do not have tips like that, at least in stainless steel.
turby
What kind of tips do you have now? i seem to remember you having the tips that angled up at a 45* angle.

Brian P
Sorry for the long update delay!! I took a video of the exhaust and sound using my boss's camera (snuck out while @ lunch) but the vid was HUGE and I have no place to host it. Plus the sound was way too low, and all you could hear is a fucking woodpecker or something. Here's some screen shots of the vid in the meantime: The tips stick out more than stock, I couldn't get it tucked in more due to space issues. I'm used to it now. It was tough enough just getting the mufflers in, took the shop two tries and a new extension pipe to get it right. I also had them put in a resonator. Initially I had just the mufflers in, and it was TOO loud, and the hi-flow catalyst made it worse I'm sure. I wouldn't care so much but I also have a girlfriend, gotta keep it low-key . 95oldsVan
Those look really nice, better than factory.Just dont burn an ankle leaning up against the car or getting something out of the trunk! Anyways,I put 2 flow master mufflers on my former 86 Vette and with the modded engine it had a loud deep rumble,a bit of resonance but still loved the note. WOT was really up there...gave me a headache at times but man thats part of the fun.Always have been a fan of flowmaster mufflers.

Brian P
so, do you like the sound and what was the total cost? I like the sound coming out the back there's a small exhaust leak somewhere up front, maybe a manifold gasket. I'm gonna attack it sunday. The exhaust shop was good to me, the first time I went, they had an extremely hard time getting the left muffler to line up, they were only able to mount it on an angle and it looked low and crooked compared to the right. I wanted to originally use the stock GP tips, but getting these mufflers up high like factory wasn't in the cards. I left that day with just the mufflers installed, and no tips. FUCK it was loud. On the 2nd trip there is when I had the new tips, and I had them redo the left side exhaust after the Y-pipe in order to get the muffler straight. Then I wanted the resonator to quiet it down a little more. Adding up both visits, including welding up the resonator, new drivers side extension pipe, new hangars, mounting the mufflers and welding the tips, about $150. Holy Crap! You havn't done shit to you car for what seems like years! Looks good! heh, well I've been doing a lot to it, I just haven't put the effort into posting about it. There's more to go with the engine, mostly management, getting the OBD2 system in, etc etc. This exhaust thing was an obvious mod. Looks good! Very jealous of your dual cutout bumper...duals with a single cutout is killing me. x2. Im still wanted to find a dual cut-out bumper before I redue my exhaust. Looks great! Had to get it off a '93 @ the junkyard, don't feel too bad I thought the "S" model bumper was flat on the bottom? I'll get a vid up soon w/ sound! The body of the tips are so damn big I don't think they'll ever get that hot....hopefully!
ToroToro
No, mine has a round cutout, it's just smaller than the SL models. I'm thinking I'll probobly just fiberglass over it. If I were to get an SL bumper, I'd probobly get the rest of the shit with it and I dont care to do that.
