DiscoStudd Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 Sure, you don't absolutely need to remove the caliper and bracket, but then you run the risk of having the paint flake off from the bottom edge because there isn't any paint "flowing" around to the underside of the caliper. Besides, is it really that "time consuming" to remove the caliper? It'll probably take more time to mask off the rotor that it does to remove everything. Oh, and I needed new pads installed anyway, so that was as good a time as any to paint the calipers ... Quote
2CUTTYS Posted June 7, 2006 Author Report Posted June 7, 2006 Well we decided to take the brakes off and replaced pads too. Took back the kit and bought some more por15 rust prevent and por 15 white paint. going to spray them both and and paint inside the rotors too. Take some pics when do should be friday. thanks all for inout and would love to see pics of other painted calipers. Quote
