RonsPerformanceGarage
Hey everyone: I used to get Turbo Grand Prix parts for Jeff M. I can't seem to get ahold of him anymore. Can someone let me know how to get ahold of him. New email or phone #? Thanks, Ron (A direct email would be greatly appreciated) (RonsPerformanceGarage@msn.com)

Jeff M
Since we have so many seasoned and experienced owners now there is not a lot of need for us old guys to get in the way when others need help , it's show of respect for those seasoned owners too to not stick my nose in all the time As for parts Ron, my confusion, thought you were this other Ron that I bought parts from that won't leave me alone now, wants to keep selling me parts that are not even TGP parts, yukky stuff too . I will email you here shortly, been working on two 1973 Cudas and a 1968 Camero, all three needed a lot of work to get fixed up, along with a ton to get them show worthy, but they are really nice cars so owners will be pleased when all done, problem is the Camero owners wants to hit the shows this weekend/tomorrow so rushing to get that one done this week/today. Jeff M
I am pretty much full up on parts, really need to stop spending, already too much now with another $1,500 on 18 inch rims/tires, 1,000 watt sub amp (subs seem to turn their nose up at anything less than their rated max RMS it seems) and now saving up for a paint job that will also include fixing the damage from the parking lot a-hole bending my fender and hood into a shape not so appealing. There are always others looking for these parts, you can post them here since this is the TGP side, but I feel on the W-Body side too since there are those that are looking to convert, just mention you dual posting it so we don't get in trouble from the other mods Jeff M
Garrett Powered
you guys happen to have a trunk deck lid preferrably black? mine got ruined this morning when somebody jacked my whole system. they broke out and damaged the passenger door too. Jeff M
Ohhh man, that really blows, sorry dude . Had an entire car, truck actually that was stolen, never again, next truck took out the dash and relocated all the key wires from there to the engine and, changed their colors, added normally open relays to the ignition, injectors, starter, fuel pump, added battery backed siren, door lock linkage delete, lots of other tricks that you just don't talk about , more work than money when done but like you, all it takes is one time getting burned and the war is on. The stereo equipment in my trunk has hidden tamper proof screws and other tricks, along with a hidden switch to sense when the trunk is open and set off the security system, 125 db battery backed siren that is protected from reach as is the other routes to mess with the electrical system. Hope you can get out of this without too much of a hit to your finances. Might be a good idea to tell someone what town/state you live in. Also there are on-line places that can check for such a part, as well any large local yard can do a search for you within your state and outside, that since the TGP trunk is still an SE trunk and for many year GPs Jeff M. Garrett Powered
thanks, Jeff. I will be learning real quick how to install alarm systems so will be a fun learning experience. should not be too hard but I want to buy a good loud one like that or a flame thrower one or something. dont worry I will be bumpin again soon. It may take all summer, but look at the bright side, summer just started. so at least I wont get caught in the Oregon rain.
Jeff M
If you do it that is even better that way only you know how it was done, meaning don't do it just like they say (other than following the right wires ) mix it up so a good thief will have to work at it, they don't like advertisement i.e. siren blasting for too long while they do their work. Burry the main unit and any relays deep into the dash or in other places, console, engine bay or, don’t make connections in obvious and easy to access places, and make them well after where thieves look to jumper things. Make up a sheet metal cover over your front hood release cable area, this is a rather open place from underneath that I found, but no more Make sure the (most new and good ones do) system will address a short circuit meaning someone/a thief who shorts out your tail light wires hoping to blow the main unit’s fuse and making it go dead/silent. Battery back-up adds a lot of money to the system but if you can swing it, good idea too, depends on how bad of an area you park this car how much you feel you should do to your system. I will PM you with some more ideas, my good ones will not be posted to an open forum, I will not make it known for others who can come here, what to look for with thier next tarket . While you are doing the work, you had better make notes on all of what you did and where, you will thank me or yourself later for doing this , and I store it on a CD or Floppy with an encrypted password. Nope I am no thief, being a real old guy I have been around long enough to read the right books and enough of them to know a few things and to also make me think about how to make my setup even better/tougher. Best of luck man, keep an eye on ebay for your gear, never know how dumb the thieves might have been. Also if you did not already do this, or don’t want any of the stuff back/insurance is buying you better, report the equipment in details with serial numbers to the cops, that way if it turns up at a pawn shop there is a chance to bust the bad guys. Jeff M
Hey, If you want a wiring diagram, LET ME KNOW. I have access for all of this stuff from when I used to do installs. A wiring diagram for the car or a security system? Jeff M
slick
Security system. I still have access to this stuff from when I used to be an installer.
Jeff M
Uhhh, anyone buying a security system to install themselves will get a diagram, anyone not buying a security system and wanting a diagram would be a car thief . Best to not be offering such things in a public forum, no telling who will PM you acting as your best buddy and wanting a diagram or two I would like to delete your offer since it would let out too easy, wiring diagrams of security systems that others I feel would not like to have happen. Thanks for wanting to help  hope you can see why it would be best to keep this quiet . Jeff M
slick
Ahh... I see what you mean. I was saying wiring diagrams as in what wires are where in our vehicles. He said he was going to tackle the job of wiring in an alarm, and I just wanted to get him the correct wires so nothing gets messed up. I trust Garret Powered's ability, but I was just trying to help out a fellow car enthusiast. Good looking out though Jeff.
