ns87
In April I had both rear struts replaced. The were shot, and one collapsed when they took it out They used to make a groan/creek noise. I have meanwhile taken 4 150+ road trips, and no noise until today. Suddenly that noise is back, except with my new struts. Whats the dealio~? Impression of the noise is creeEEEeeeaaak-a-a-a-a--a-a-eeeeeek ::silence:: repeat. Say that outloud and thats what it sounds like If its my monoleaf, hello Birchmount

Pabz
per0781: Yours only creaks bc its a clone of mine Pabz? Whats the non squeeky brand then? I am using these pads that i made from a stip of rubber that has a cloth mesh sandwiched inside. i am using 3 of these on each side which puts approx 1/2" - 3/4" of material between the spring and the knuckle. Running on over a year and no noise. The creaking comes from the rubbing the leaf spring does where it contacts the knuckle. The reason why mine dont creak is probably because the rubber pads i use stay stationary while the leaf moves on top of them. I would rather the rubber be attached to the knuckle rather then the end of the leaf spring.

Pabz
who needs pads? I had mine down to less than 1/8" So i installed a birchmount. I wanna see pics of one wearing down on the trailing arms, that would be crazy (possible?)

Q-Ball
Check your pads. I have a problem with mine. When the rotor spins, it causes the pad to move and make a slight clinking sound. To fix my prob is either get a new rotor, or get this glue/sealent and put it behind the pad to keep it in place.
ns87
This damn car. So tired of putting money into it lol, Everytime I fix something on the outside, my dash warps more or something else breaks on the interior
1990lumina
I saw a GP on the freeway yesterday with two broken trailing arms and the monoleaf snapped.....whole ass was an inch away from dragging on the pavement.....poor car. I just bought some new struts, and I'll be buying those new pads for my monoleaf...hopefully that eliminates the clunks and knocking I'm having, and get my ass end level again....hell if it is jacked up higher the nthe front even I'd be happy. I'll keep you posted if new pads help my car
