I had a small wire brush with my drill, just kinda went at it. looks a lot better, but I'd like to get them even cleaner, any suggestions? THe_DeTAiL3R Posted May 27, 2006 Report Share Posted May 27, 2006 I used a STRONG ACID based rim cleaner to get the carbon off my exhaust tips with a wire brush, but I dunno about your tips they are different. bigshynepo Posted May 27, 2006 Report Share Posted May 27, 2006 I find any rim cleaner (meguiers or the powermetal mothers featured above) work great! I picked up one of those rim cleaning brushes and that works great too. I think wire would scratch. Make sure you find a brush with no sharp edge or exposed wire.
