94CutlassSLCoupe Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 Looks good! you do know they are painted black from the factory, right? Quote
Psych0matt Posted May 27, 2006 Author Report Posted May 27, 2006 most of which wasnt looking good, and also it was covered in a lot of soot Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 I used a STRONG ACID based rim cleaner to get the carbon off my exhaust tips with a wire brush, but I dunno about your tips they are different. This would work on any metal to clean/shine (I can't wait to do my wheels, it's great for aluminum) Quote
Euro Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 i was just gonna suggest that dave!! yeah just start polishing them up really good using that stuff!!! Quote
brianhasadd Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 Looks good man. I need to polish mine to. Quote
bigshynepo Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 I find any rim cleaner (meguiers or the powermetal mothers featured above) work great! I picked up one of those rim cleaning brushes and that works great too. I think wire would scratch. Make sure you find a brush with no sharp edge or exposed wire. Most on the market i would never use on my rims. Quote
