I want to make my Z34 a low 13 second ride

As the title says i want to make my Lumina Z34 a low 13 second ride. Im planning on doing the L67 swap. I figure after the swap my 1/4 mile will be in the mid 14's. Is this correct? So Im just wanting to get an estimate of what it would cost to buy everything for the swap. And also, I think me and my dad can do the swap, but Id like to know how much it would cost if we took it to a shop (or if a shop will even do it).

Next, I would like to know what else i need to do to get my baby in the low-mid 13 seconds and of course the estimated price of each mod.

Right now I have about $2500 and Im going to work my ass off and save all Summer and hopefully Ill have this done by the time school in August. How much would you say this whole project will cost?

Well, thanks in advanced for the help, guys!

yes it should run mid 14's with a stock engine. mine ran 14.6

Price of the swap depends on who you buy it from and the condition of it. I would estimate between 1500-2500 for a complete motor/trans/wiring/pcm.

If you are unsure about doing any of the work yourself, check out http://www.humperformance.com Just just PM Jeremiah or Wes for details on the perice for labor.

To get your times down, just start with basic mods like a 3.4'' pulley and supporting mods and see how your car reacts to the modifications. Every car is different.

Getting it into the mid 13's should be pretty simple. Like Brian said, just do basic mods and go from there. With a pulley, intake, exhaust, and rockers or a mild cam you should be running solidly in the 13's, and with traction you could probably get down pretty far into the 13's. For ~$2500 if you find an L67 for a good price, you could probably get the engine, get it swapped, and get a few mods for it as well.

Another option- for $2500 you could turbo your existing 3.4 DOHC if you can find a local shop that makes turbo kits. That should get you into the 13's.
