Psych0matt
can i just get the ac delete belt and call it a day (for now) or is the ac pulley going to be in the way of a non-ac belt?
sonyman87
Just unplug it..there is a clip kinda on top of the compressor .. unplug it and its just a simple free spining pully
Psych0matt
well, that might help, but reason I asked is because i think the pulley bearings are on the way out. ill go check it out, thanks
5speedz34
3.4's don't have an ac delete pulley since A/C is standard on them. If you don't want A/C I would start unbolting and cutting all the lines off.
Psych0matt
alright, looks like i need to find a new compressor
GnatGoSplat
Heh, my convertible had the same problem. It actually got bad enough to stall the engine once. I thought about temporarily bypassing it, but the only way I found to bypass it would have been less than temporary. Had to get a "new" compressor, I think I paid $120, ouch. You can replace a pulley bearing, but it needs a bunch of specialty tools.
