my friend wants to mod his cutty its a 94 coupe what can he do for not a lot of cash that will make his car better and faster?? thanks guys ..

its a 3100 Im assuming? He could do exhaust, ya know like high-flo cat or no cat, y-pipe, good mufflers. Cone filters are good on 3100s. I think there is a bigger Throttle body out there for 3100s. Those are simple bolt ons

If $ are very short, you can modify the Air filter box by taking out the removable cone at the very front inlet which will mainly let more engine sound out. And/or cut the top of the tube which is inside the box. The more you cut the more sound will escape, so the decibels are tuneable.

You could probably find a used or new K&N drop in filter cheap. He could

clamp a low cost straight thru TURBO muffler in place of the stocker for about $20. I put 1.6 rockers on my 350 V8 and got a great gain for only as little as $55. If you want to save 1/2 of the price of the rockers, put them only on the exhaust valves side and split the cost with a friend who will do the same. Putting them on the exhaust side only frees up power but doesn't decrease fuel economy/torque/throttle response.
