Just got my alignment......89 Cutlass with the Monte strut/knuckles in the fron on Intrax springs, and the Birchmount in the back.

Anyone else have problems getting them to align the rear???

NTB said "Rear adjustment frozen, no adjustment". Do they mean the splined bolts?

My rear left is at: Camber:2.2 the range -.2 to.8 Toe is at .38 range : -.15 to .15

My right rear is at: Camber: 2.3 range -.2 to .8 My toe is at: -.13 and the range is -.15 to .15

So as I am reading this I am still out of alignment in the back, even though they said this is unadjustable because it's lowered.???

Anyone else have this issue?

My front is fine...

Hmmmm.... maybe I should have my car checked. My toe and camber are looking pretty radical. But no unusual tire wear. I always figured that if the tires aren't being destroyed, the it's ok. just my $ 0.02

I have thought about finding a set of control arms from I think a 97+ buick regal. If I remember correctly, they have control arms that are adjustable. I am unsure if they will fit right, but it would be very interesting to see someone try it out.

all the times i've gone over my rear suspension and it seems that there simply isan't much to adjust back there. i put new rear struts on and i see zero way i could have gotten the back out of alignment. mabie i'm missing something. but it just dosen't seem very adjustable.

Rear alignment is possible.

There are cams where the lateral links bolt into the center of the axle subframe. Those adjust the toe.

Camber is adjusted by elongating the bottom hole of the strut. KYB's come with an elongated bottom hole just for that purpose.

Sounds like the people at NTB are just lazy.

I didn't notice the KYB's had elongated holes.... but I didn't look either.

Is the rear Toe adjusted where the spring gets bolted to the car?

No, the toe is adjusted where the lateral links are bolted to the car in the center.

The camber is adjusted by loosening the strut bolts, changing the camber angle, and then bolting it down tight again.

If the struts don't have elongated holes, you need to remove the strut bolts and elongate the bottom hole as necessary.

I think I got it...

However, my bolts are rather rusted/crusted up.... Maybe thats what he meant by frozen....

What size are those?.... I will find some replacments.
