Dirty Rockstar Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Sooo.. My ABS system is on the fritz.. If I drive the car normally and go to apply the brake, it will make a goofy crunching type sounds.. then it will feel like the damn ABS is trying to pry the brakes apart.. It will feel like the car has no brakes.. Its been doinf it off and on for the last couple weeks, and this morning, everytime I would hit the brakes, it would slide across the road.. Whether I was going 50 or 30 MPH.. I have the ABS system unplugged right now, and I am under normal brakes currently, and that's workin out alright for me.. I wanna know if anyone else has this issue or not.. THis is obviously in my 94 Supreme sedan.. Quote
CPSMonteZ34 Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Not sure if you knew this, but all brakes operate normally. ABS only kicks in during wheel slip. If your ABS has been permanently working every time you hit your brakes, you've got sensor troubles. Quote
94CutlassSLCoupe Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 you probably have sensor issues or a bad wheel bearing Quote
White93z34 Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 best bet is to find someone with a scantool capeable of reading ABS systems. that will be the quickest way of pinpointing the fault. Quote
