digital fan controller

Im in need of some help. I cant find the fan controller under the dash to finish my ecc install for the life of me. I know what it may look like a heat sink but where under the pass. dash is it i looked for a while but didnt see it. i used the search it helped a little said it was by the fan but i dont know where that is either. so if any one can give a good discription of where it is exactly, that would be grrrreat.
