sonyman87 Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 I emailed a company about buiding a custom transmission for my car. and i asked for the 3.73 gearing. They said i have to reporgram the TCM for the different gear ratio as the computer looks for the gear ratios and when they do not match it will put the transmission into failsafe and will not shift correctly. how much truth is in this and damnit what gearing do i really have.. 1st shifts out at ~41-43mph Quote
mihela816 Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 They are correct, but the proper term is PCM, powertrain control module. Quote
