Radio help, first post

Hey guys, just picked up an 89 Grand Prix. Was wondering how you guys if anybody, installed an aftermarket radio/cd player. Only way i can see is 1:make a custom braket and mount on right side of radio on botom part of dash, or 2:cut up existing face plate to accept the new radio. I apologize if this topic was covered before but i browsed through the forums a bit and didnt find anything.

There are adapters available to to convert the aftermarket palyer to hook up with your stock speakers. I used adapters from Advance Autoparts and Walmart to hook mine up

For the sake of appearance, you can switch to a 1990-93 radio pod.

90-93 have the exact same dash, but they went to a single 1-1/2 DIN radio instead of the 2-piece one.

thats exactly what i did, but the one i got was blue and my cars interior was grey so i spraypainted it black. looked/worked great
