19Cutlass94
Three people should be able to do it. If they cant theres problems. It should only take two people to do that. Id have to say it would weight about 130lbs ( ish ) tops. When people come into work, and drop off blocks to have block work done, one person alone and pick up engine blocks. Ive had to carry 350 engine blocks by myself before. The blocks themselves are not that heavy.
birdman
so the crank and pistons dont add that muck weight? thanks.
19Cutlass94
They add weight, thats why I say two people should do it.

Psych0matt
when i got mine from Sean, we used his lift, but it seemed too heavy for us (Sean, my roommate, and myself) to lift very easily, not so much because of the weight, but more the awkwardness (and we were on a slippery hill trying to get it into a blazer!) dalejw3
myself and buddy lifted a 3400 60*v6 fully assembled into a truck FWIW.....im sure you guys will have no prob. yeah, my dad, grandpa and uncle lifted a fully assembled 350V8 with cast iron heads into a truck bed, so a 60*v6 shouldn't be a problem for 3 guys
birdman
very useful info. now it makes me debate on just puting it in my trunk instead of going back with a truck.

fastbird232
<== Had to carry a 302 shortblock 10 feet from the truck to my porch by myself. THAT hurt the back...
joey b
a DOHC engine (as in that probe engine) is a lot heavier than a pushrod motor. My longblock DOHC was pretty friggin heavy. Just the block and rods and crank I'm sure would be under 300 lbs. I think the block alone is like 130. 3 people should be able to get it with minimal effort. patgizz
me, brianP and lorenzo put the 3400 longblock into the trunk of his cutlass. and the top end in the back seat i had one end, it was rather light. 2 strong guys could do it, or 3 regular size guys.
