IO_303
I wanted to check my valve clearances tomorrow to see if i can find the taping, I was wondering do i need new valve cover gaskets?? If its anything like my ricemobile then they are rubber and should not be reuse, but if cleaned up right can be with il leaking out later
DiscoStudd
3800? If so, they are rubber. A new set is still less than 20 bucks, though...

GutlessSupreme
If they've never been replaced before, go for it. I know I'll probably never change the valve cover gaskets on my 3.1s again though. they just don't tend to leak on those motors. I just did it to be safe because of their age. I can't speak for the 3800 though.
