slick Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I've noticed that when it rains, that my trunk leaks on both the passenger and driver side close to where the hinges are mounted on the inside of the trunk(not the trunk lid). Any one else have this problem, or know where its coming from? Also, whenever i go over a bump, i hear a clanking sound coming from the rear drivers side wheel area. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I have a general idea. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 What does the seal look like around the back window? The water could be getting in there. It's either there or the weatherstripping around the trunk. The clunking sounds like a strut mount. Quote
JS91Z34 Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 Or a bad strut! Struts do come apart on the inside and make funny sounds. Mine is making the same sound or a sound on the same strut. Quote
musthavemuzk Posted April 15, 2003 Report Posted April 15, 2003 loose struts?? as that would allow water inside through the bolt holes right? Monty Quote
slick Posted April 15, 2003 Author Report Posted April 15, 2003 loose struts??as that would allow water inside through the bolt holes right? Monty Good point, because my carpets felt wet, but the trunk itself is not (the trunk lid or anything). I'll take a look at that tom. Quote
