A little cutting and some grinding....All for 1 inch!! :damnit1: I was hoping for at least 2. I'm going to let it sit for awhile yet though, because while I was painting my other Regal I had it up on Jack Stands and then I put it back down on it's wheels it looked like a monster truck for a couple days. Hopefully it'll Swat some more.

I don't know whats wrong the pics say they're there in photobucket but they won't come up.

Anyways... In the Middle of the Rear leaf spring there are 2 Perches it sits on with 4 bolts in it (2 on each side) The Perches are about 2 1/2" tall. I cut both of them out and bolted the rear leaf spring right to the Dead Axle Assembly. I thought I would get at least 2" out of it but I only got 1 1/4". I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the Coil Over Idea I had before. There's a Speed Shop near here that said He would let me test different Coils until I got the right ones So I'm going to go that route.

I thought I would test it out with this idea because it doesn't cost anything to do it.

I had thought about doing that before, what issues did you have getting the spring back in?

How did you mount the spring, since inside the upper spring perch is where the threaded nuts are that the bolts screw into?

1-1/4" would actually match the drop of ST or Intrax springs perfectly on most cars.

Getting the spring back on is a whore I'm not going to lie about that. You need to do just a little grinding on the bottom of the Struts. That was the only problem I had. You also have to either grind down the bolts for the Control Arms or take them out so the head of the bolt is toward the spring.

Is there somewhere you can get just the front Intrax Srrings? Where do you get ST Springs?

Why did you have to grind the bottom of the struts? Is that because of the arch of the spring?

Is the spring just loose up there, or did you bolt it in somehow?

I got the ST springs from JC Whitney several years ago. Not sure if you can still get them. The Intrax come from the group buys, but those are over. You might see if the woman at Intrax that Lee contacted about the group buy still has a few sets left over from people that didn't pay. Last I heard, some people were still able to get some from her. I forget her name, but check the group buy section.

Yes the arch of the spring hits the bottom of the Strut a little bit. Where the Spring perch used to sit I drilled holes through and bolted the Spring Down. I'll try again Maybe tomarrow to take more pics to show you.
