Car pulling to the left when braking, loud squeeling.......any ideas?

About a month ago, I noticed on my Grandparents 1998 Lumina that when you brake fairly hard, the car pulls to the left and squeels rather loud. Thinking it was the passenger caliper that might be seized, I had it replaced as well as a new set of pads. A few weeks went by and things were great. Again last night, same situation. I can tell the drivers side is doing most of the braking as there is 10X the amount of brake dust on the drivers front wheel, compared to the passenger one.

Any idea?

calipers are probably gone...mine did that, and when the guy put it on the lift, he showed me that one pad was totally grinded down to the metal, and the other had like 40% left

Well, first thing does it need an alignment?

But, I would go back and make sure everything is working physically, and then relube all the sliders and pins on the caliper. Also I would bleed the brakes and fluid, if that doesn't work replace the caliper.

If theres that much difference in the pads, I dont think it needs an alignment, but rather some new calipers. Id check both front calipers. Before you take the caliper off, just try to move the caliper back and forth to see if it still slides on the caliper slides. If it does, its probably a bad piston or something in the caliper that needs to be replaced. So replacing the caliper would be needed.

The front right brake on my Lumina did all the braking up until 1 month ago when the snow melted and I drove the car VERY HARD one weekend. Then both front brakes started working again, and the rear ones work once in a while too!!!! lol
