TGPilot
I have one also from my TSTE if you would like. I have changed so much in the chip presently in the car that I do not think it would work for another car but this one. But the original chip/MEMCal is sitting on my bench collecting dust. Also Invasion1 is doing chips...just don't know if he is doing auto cars also. Check with him.

z284pwr
What is wrong with the stock chip if you are a cheapo and its temporary? My chip is from Ryan Gick at Sinister Performance, he does custom chip burning to your specs.... I don't think a stock engine would like it very much though. TGPilot
You are kind of comparing apples to oranges and hoping a banana will keep your attention! The GN world is mostly fast and straight...with a TGP you can take on some hard corners and have plenty of power to come out of the corner. Only issue is once the GN gets it's tires back under it from rolling over in the turn he will pass you on the straight away. The TGP in it's stock form is ok. Some tweaking to the chip and opening up the turbo intake from the stock air-box and inlet tubing will allow for a considerable jump in power and acceleration. If you want to open up the beast and let her breath you need to do some things just like any other car. The T25 turbo turbine is WAY TOO SMALL. It has the worst backpressure ratio of most factory produced turbo engines out there. That turbine needs to be opened up. A T28 hybrid helps, but it seems that Jud is having some serious power increases with a T3076. That is the largest internally wastegated T25 flanged turbo out there at the moment. Now with a much larger turbo you need much better breathing heads than the Gen I heads we have. Porting works, but more effort than gain. Gen III heads flow very well with the same numbers as a ported GEN II head. Power can be made with the 3.1L Pushrod motor...but it will take time and money. A generic performance chip will increase power, but tweaking and tuning will get the most out of your particular car. Each one of these cars has proven to be "different" in one way or another. Before you tune make sure ALL MECHANICAL and SENSORS are working correctly.
Garrett Powered
once you get it running good, a jeff m chip/t-25 will allow you to have plenty of fun. I drove an average Typhoon with a few mods, it wasnt too much more impressive, of course it has more potential but the TGP has potential too without opening up the motor or changing anything in the drivetrain. Once you get the grounds all upgraded and the vacuum lines all Vacu-tite 'd with heat shield and all that, you should be able to force in some dense-ass air with the STOCK turbo. dont take that much air with an icycooler before you need to stick some cocktails in the gas tank and have some fun. just keep the factory safeguards and tune it by ear. the car will buck until you get everything super tight. then just FLY! the great thing about the LG5 is they produced it during the pinnacle of the turbo era by Mclaren so if you do it right, its damn near indestructible. should go over 300k with constant thrashing. when I was ignorant, I blew the tranny a few times and now that I researched into that realize now it is MORE than adequate for the power and got it to shift flawlessly (except for OD....keep it in D at all times unless highway cruizin)
