PCGUY112887 Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 Anyone ever try these or something similar? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-X-CARBON-LEATHER-RACING-SEATS-CAVALIER-MUSTANG-C10_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33701QQitemZ8060801101QQtcZphoto Seem like they'd work good in my GP Sedan... get rid of my weird split front bench, pop those in with an aftermarket center console. digitaloutsider Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 [shudders] Just put in AQ9's and call it a day. Those look, and probably feel, like ass. Quote
97loudcut Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 i like them. i would love to put them in a car that was worthy of having them (speed wise) Quote
PCGUY112887 Posted April 30, 2006 Author Report Posted April 30, 2006 I gotta ask what AQ9's are But really I don't think they look like ass... they look like any other racing seat you may find. Quote
jeremy Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 I would consider those for my Spyder, but not in my GP... Quote
cutlass1991 Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 carbon fiber leather? I didn't know such a fabric existed. I like the shape of them. The only problem I could see is accessing the knob on the side to recline the seat backs. Would there be enough clearance to get your hand there? Quote
Psych0matt Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 they look really tacky and cheap. the leather look on racing seats kills it Quote
Regal_GS_1989 Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 I gotta ask what AQ9's are They are the million way power seats from the cuttys and the GP's. The GP seats i believe are 14 way, and the cutlass ones are 10 way. They look like this Quote
jeremy Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 they look really tacky and cheap. the leather look on racing seats kills it those actually do look cheap, but you can find some nice quality ones with the leather look Quote
PCGUY112887 Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 OK then, I think I found something you guys would like much better. http://www.k2motor.com/rs-blkbnl-tm.html[br]Posted on: May 01, 2006, 07:05:44 PM_________________________________________________No one? Or is everyone tired of my seat ideas? Quote
jeremy Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 i think the general consensous is that racing seats don't really belong in a w-body Quote

slowmontecarlo Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 If you want some nice seats...best of both worlds (sporty and comfy) Look into 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP front seats. There almost like recaro but heated, driver side is power and there EXTREMELY comfortable. I did sit in some at the auto show and fell in love. Seen a set on ebay but went way over my budget. I will post up a couple pics.[br]Posted on: May 03, 2006, 07:54:33 PM_________________________________________________http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pontiac-Grand-Prix-GTP-powered-leather-heated-seats_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33701QQitemZ8036301041QQrdZ1 Theres the ebay link of the set I was watching. They Rock. Also have adjustable lumbar supports. Quote
J Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 the expensive seat companies like recaro, make seats that are more supportive, but not racing seats. There was a guy on the board with a cutty with them, i forget him name, but it looked great and had aftermarket seats in it that were not ricey Quote
brianhasadd Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Dude I seriously wouldn't get the seats in the very first post. When I was on a Malibu forum, a guy on there bought those same seats and said that they broke when he tried to recline in them. They are a cheaply made seat. Now for the ones out of the G6...those are worth buying!! Quote
