97loudcut
are wheels that came off a 2000 gtp going to fit my 1997 Cutlass? the wheels were on this
Bossman429
Going from gen 2 wheels onto a gen 1 car requires spacers for proper fit. Are you getting the factory wheels, or those in the pics? I love the ones pictured!
Euro
yeah you'll need spacers to clear the calipers...and those wheels will look good on your cutty
97loudcut
thanks...how much can i expect to pay for spacers?
Psych0matt
i think you can get pairs for under 20$ (not sure, but i think)
97loudcut
can anyone else vouche for this?
ToroToro
Yeah... I paid 20 bucks a pair to try to get my Aurora rims to fit on my CS. Still didn't clear with 7/16 spacers though. You should be able to get them to fit, but make sure you pound some longer studs in there if you gotta use a big spacer. I dont know if hub centric rings would work with a spacer but that would be a good idea too, or your rims will be wobbling like all hell. Euro
yeah like autozone or some parts stores have them
jeremy
make sure you get longer studs if you get spacers
GnatGoSplat
If those are aftermarket (which they look to be), they may fit without spacers. Just have to try 'em.
97loudcut
my bad they came off a 1997 GTP...so Im good right?
GnatGoSplat
If they're factory wheels from a 97+ Grand Prix, you're gonna need some beefy spacers and lug studs to clear the calipers.
97loudcut
no there not factory wheels. There 17 inch Konig Villians.
GnatGoSplat
In that case, they might fit with no problem. See if you can try before you buy.
97loudcut
well im buying them off of black5spdz for $400 with tires. He says they will fit no problem. the website doesnt list a offset but it does say "they are exceptionally light at 21 lbs. and can clear coilovers and 13" brake kits"
jeremy
FWIW: 21# isn't "exceptionally light" for a 17" rim....regardless of the weight, they do look good though
