19Cutlass94
What size are these things? 18mm? does anyone know what they should be tightened to as well? Im trying to find this clack clack every time I go over a bump. Since Ive read other threads where it solved the problem, Ill try that out first. If not, Ill tighten all the ones I can get at. I might also be leaning towards the actual strut making this noise, since when the subframe was replaced, they used a j/y strut ( I dont know if these can be tested to tell if they are good or not ) but once I get more money together Im going to get getting a brand new strut. But aside from the cradle bolts, anything else I should check? TIA guys.
mfewtrail
I don't remember what size the bolts are, but they should be torqued to 103 ft-lbs. It wouldn't hurt to generally check all the front suspension components for play while you're under the car, also make sure the bolts holding the steering rack in are tight. 19Cutlass94
yeah when they did all the work, they took a j/y strut and out that on the passengers side, and left a 3yr old strut on the drivers side.
SigEpCutlass
Remember to replace struts in pairs x2! otherwise your car may seem offbalance and your tires can even wear unevenly too IIRC.
