Cam'ron
after the dissapointing effort today to install my FWI i have been looking around on ebay at some different intake kits. something i am not seeing in alot of pics is the MAF sensor, why? isnt that supposed to be there? and also has anyone ever used or seen the SLP cold air boxes? how exactly do they install/work... saw one that said factory location but they are using what looks just like the stock photos from slponline, do they still have the mount for the PCM? it doesnt say anything about that anywhere that i can see. TIA for any input here guys n gals
19Cutlass94
Somtimes youll see intakes with no MAF, because simply you can either add one in if you do have a MAF, or the for those who dont, they dont need to worry about it.
birdman
you use the one you have, new ones are like $150-300 i think.
fastbird232
Just stick it in somewhere. But does it matter where on the intake tube you install it? Like, can you bolt it between the throttle body and the tube? Between the tube and the filter? Does it matter?
Cam'ron
i was planning on installing my FWI this weekend but had to abandon it because the filter i had was just plain too big i am trying to find a smaller one. as part of the FWI install i was going to leave the short flexible tube attached between the TB and the MAF intact and just run the FWI from beyond that point, possibly not the most effective way of doing it but it would work nonetheless right? i figure that way i do not have to re drill any mounting holes for my IAT and whatnot. BTW i got the part number of the filter i need it is RU-5111, basically it is the smallest 3" flange filter K&N makes in the tapered style should work much better if i can find one here[br]Posted on: April 30, 2006, 04:26:19 PM_________________________________________________wahooo i think i found one, i find out tomorrow, the warehouse it should be in was closed today they are going to phone me in the morning
