jeremy Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 What is this connector and where does it go? Quote
Bossman429 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Looks like a broken off oil presure switch, or something. Where is it located, approximately? On top of the transmission? Is this on the STE? If it's a oil pressure switch, maybe that's why the car won't start? Quote
jeremy Posted April 29, 2006 Author Report Posted April 29, 2006 yes, it is on the STE...I noticed it and took the picture last weekend....the picture is where the airbox normally is, y ou can see the fuel lines in the top right of the picture, it comes out of a harness in the back of the bay and IIRC, it is by the trans. I glanced quickly to see if I could figure out where it went, but I didn't see anything that stood out right away. The car still starts though Quote
LukeZ34 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 IAT Sensor? If it IS that, it looks like it's been broken off. IIRC it should plug in to the back of the air box. Quote
jeremy Posted April 29, 2006 Author Report Posted April 29, 2006 the plug that goes into the airbox is still there....this one was hanging down behind everything Quote
Guest TurboSedan Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 i know exactly what that is. it's the connector that goes to the power steering rack. my STE has exactly the same thing - the connector broke off and is now hanging like yours is. Quote

Guest TurboSedan Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 nope not yet i noticed it hanging when i put my lowering springs in but figured i'd get back to it later since i don't even drive the car yet. hopefully it's an easy fix. Quote
94CutlassSLCoupe Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 that's the connector that kicks up the idle speed when you're at full steering lock Quote
