IRONDOG442 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 I am sure this is not an original posting but I have been a member for a while now and can't remember seeing one like this. here goes: Lets have a high mileage contest that we have to submit photos of our odometers NO PHOTOSHOP CHEATERS!!. We can have a winner for each power plant or body style: for example it could be: Generation One1988-1997 Cutlass Supreme 1988-1996 Grand Prix 1988-1996 Regal 1990-1994 Lumina Generation 1.51995-1999 Lumina 1995-1999 Monte Carlo Generation Two1998-2002 Intrigue 1997-2004 Grand Prix 1997-2004 Century/REGAL 2000-2005 Monte Carlo/Impala or 3.5 DOHC Shorstar Six 3800 Series II 3800 Series One 3.4 Liter DOHC 3400 SFI 3100 SFI 2.8 Liter MFI YOU CAN DO IT !!! Then the winners of each category can submit photos of our cars to see how welll they have held up vs. time and mileage. Quote
john99gtp Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 to bad your asking for photo's i think the highest 3.4dohc ive seen/heard was eddie's, with like........245+ thousand or something. Quote

Psych0matt Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 my odometer says i have 196k, although thats no where near the actual milage (about 110 on the car, a bit over 40 on the enigine) I should find a low milage ub3 :-( Quote
Euro Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 yeah one of my friends had a 3.1 base lumina. they sold it with like 330k i think on the original drivetrain highes 3.4 ive seen is Gus's GTP with 241k and i'm....no where close at 124k Quote
digitaloutsider Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 YOU PUT THE CENTURY ON THAT LIST, BUT YOU FORGET THE REGAL?! Quote

94CutlassSLCoupe Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 i had a 2.8L '88 Cutlass Supreme with 199k on it, but i'm sure there are SEVERAL 2.8L cars with more miles than that Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Both my 2.8L Cutlasses (88 and 89) have over 200k miles on 'em. Quote
cutlsp Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 My 88 cutlass supreme here at the house the milage went up to 200k then read error and i reset the trip odometer when i hit that milage but the trip odometer screwed up so i don't know the true milage of my car but i'm pretty sure i'm around 209k right now..... brianhasadd Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 I think my odemeter is at like 2,900 miles right now.....LOL  Quote
Robby1870 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 I had seen 525,000 on a 91 Lumina 3.1 once... Holy crap! Quote
dbtk2 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 My '99 GP has 207k on it....not really that big of a deal though. It runs and drives like brand new. Its good for AT LEAST another 207k, probably another 400k+ though. Quote
ZoomZoomFan Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 There's a 90 Lumina Euro down the road from me with 279k. I need to get pics of it. Quote
mfewtrail Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 My 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix SE(3.1 MPFI/4T60-E). Odo: http://home.alltel.net/mfewtrail/images/odo.jpg ^Latest picture that I have, it's around 248,5XX or so now. Car: http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y33/mfewtrail/DSC00362.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y33/mfewtrail/IM002075.jpg It doesn't really look like it has that many miles on it as it's been pretty well taken care of over the years(I've had it nearly 7 years now, my parents purchased it new back in 1993). It has a few door dings and a couple of stone chips here and there(mostly on the front bumper and the rear quarters). I'm going to eventually have it repainted the factory Bright White, but with some blue metallic flakes added to the paint. I still need to dig up a Pontiac article I have of a Grand Prix LE or SE that a salesman owned, it was pretty high up there(I'm thinking near 300K).... Quote
Guest TurboSedan Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 i bought my Cutlass with 111,000 miles in April 2000. i'm somewhere around 240,000 now - still using the original engine that has never been rebuilt. damn thing will probably last well past 300,000 at this rate (even with 12psi). i think my TSTE has around 160,000 miles. Found it. I'll actually scan this tomorrow if I get around to it. 1989 GP w/ 375K on it!!!! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y33/mfewtrail/89gp.jpg Quote
ihateallmustangs Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 My old 89 gp se was at 312,000k and still ran before i scrapped her from a bent cradle. that was a 2.8/4t60 all original , oil still looked like honey. My current supreme has a 3.1/ 4t60-e and has 275,000k on the clock with no signs of dieing Quote
TheEddie Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 hmm, after reading of the 99 gp gt with 207k my 99 monte with 142 doesnt sound so bad... the old 96 gp se (in sig) had 170k on it when i sold it for $3500 (bought it for $1500), i still see/hear the damn thing driving around, I told the girl it was supposed to sound like that..ran like a champ nonetheless. ZoomZoomFan Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Here's a couple quick pics of the 90 Euro close to my house with 279k miles. I got a pic of the 90 GP with 227k too. The Euro is in pretty rough shape, and it's filthy. But the GP seems pretty nice considering it's age and miles - the only major visible flaw I spotted was clearcoat fading on the roof. Quote
Euro Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 that lumina is in really nice shape actually for original 279k miles...i spy no rust... Quote
