19Cutlass94 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 For that much money, you can go with eD 13Ov.2's of you want SQ, or go with RE if you want SPL. But for that much money ( depenging on what you want ) theres better subs. Although thats not bad at all dont get me wrong. Quote
pwmin Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 i have to use up a credit with crutchfield so i have to go with something they have. thats the problem Quote
Puggsley456 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 i have to use up a credit with crutchfield so i have to go with something they have. thats the problem Of all I have seen on their site......I would look at the MTX 7500 series. I've heard good things about them. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-PfspZ5dsVuk/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=520&id=features_and_specs&i=236T75124#Tab But I havent ever used them to be honnest. Quote
pwmin Posted April 28, 2006 Author Report Posted April 28, 2006 ill think about that mtx. its about what i looking for (400-450RMS @ 4 ohms). itll save me $150. ive wanted a G4/G5 for a while though. hmm. its only money i guess? Quote
AWeb80 Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 well, my bro has 2 g2's in his 00 GP.....the same amp as me and box as me....and it is way freakin louder than my subs..... I'd go w/ the BA's....they are REALLY nice. Quote
brianhasadd Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Boston Acoustic makes awesome mids and highs but I'm not so sure about their subs. We had a local sound competition here in Jax. and a guy blew both of his Boston Subs.... Quote

brianhasadd Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 damn JL Audio and their refusal to sell through online retailers Yeah for real. I went through that same faze to when I wanted JL's, but oh well...there's better Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Theres only a couple places here that you can get JL. Never saw any prices on anything so I couldnt tell ya. Quote
Garrett Powered Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 damn JL Audio and their refusal to sell through online retailers Yeah for real. I went through that same faze to when I wanted JL's, but oh well...there's better uhhhh, not really....technically they are the best. Quote
brianhasadd Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Sorry buddy...JL's are not the best sub out there. I'd take 2 12" Solar Baric L7's ANYDAY over any JL Audio sub!!!!! Quote
Puggsley456 Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 C'mon guys......theres no need to argue. There is no such thing as a "Best" in car audio. Everything is subjective to the listeners tastes. Quote
Garrett Powered Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Sorry buddy...JL's are not the best sub out there. I'd take 2 12" Solar Baric L7's ANYDAY over any JL Audio sub!!!!! not to argue, but speaker-for-speaker, the solo-x 18 is the only thing they got I want, just that I want it in a daily driver and I only run single subs usually cause I want the most efficient and of course lowest NOT loudest. I think the solo 18 would be better suited in a Blazer or SUV. but I would want it to be powered up with several thousand watts (unrealistic). if i was going to really daydream like that I would be looking at some soundstream or mtx.
