Tranny Swap In "90 Int'l.....

I have a camaro with a broke - i mean dead! 3.4 and the 460te tranny...Can I put that in my '90 Cutty Int'l.

My car is stock and has the 3.1L engine.

 

I aint scared of technical details....

3.4DOHC can the 4T60-E, you can put that into your '90, youll just need the wiring harness, well basically everything from the 3.4/4T60-E to put into your car.

 

If your asking just the tranny... no

I was asking tranny.....so how much is a decent 60K 460te worth. They seem common.

You can swap the engine if you switch the starter to the other side of the block and a few other things like that. However, what would be the point of this? The 3.4 doesn't make much more power than the 3.1 in your car, the work would not be worth the swap IMO. The trans, since it is RWD and you are trying to put it in a RWD car, unless you feel like fabricating the chassis to make the car RWD, will not fit.

You don't read very well. He stated clearly that the 3.4 was dead and that's why he was wondering if the camaro could be a tranny donor.

If its a Camaro wouldn't that be the 4L60e ? In which case there is no way it would work in the cutty...
