badprix Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 Started on changing the head gaskets today (finally) and man its a lot of work! No wonder shops charge 800 bucks! Really no problems so far we're down to the valve covers and heads themselves, I'm gonna continue tomorrow btw I'm outside and wishing I had a garage. I'll keep ya'll posted on any developments. Brian P Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I remember doing it my first time. Just don't rush yourself. Better to go slow than screw something up and spend more time fixing it! Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 I remember that job, I had to take a break every half hour 'cuz the backs of my legs would be killing me from leaning over the engine the whole time. Head gaskets sure aren't fun! Good luck! Quote
