ebrake conversion

out of curiousity, how hard would it be to convert to a console type ebrake like on the 95 montes? my car has the push on/push off type foot ebrake.

 

edit: i found out the 95 montes have the push set ebrake too..perhaps it was the 98 montes that had the console ebrake.

I would assume it would involve grabbing the handle mechanism, and the cable, and mounting it up. Sounds easy, but it will probably be a huge pita.
