Seshomaru7
Is it a good idea to mount black lights on your sub box? Will the rattling break the lights? Also, how do you get the lights to brighten up and dim, according to how the subwoofers play?
19Cutlass94
I duno why it would be a good idea to do that? the rattle wont break anything, just be very annoying, and you can splice into the trunk light, the power wire and just ground it. No, I mean, when the bass hits, the lights power up from dim regularly. I've seen it done, just don't know how.

Darksyde
Every walmart and pepboys carries the little module to make your neon's go with the bass. I had one it was like $10. I also used blacklights in my trunk. Never had a issue with breakage from the bass. It did however rattle them out of the holdr a cpl times. I had to glue them in. Do you wire the lights into the sub wires or from the amp? Does it take away much power from the subs? I think it would look cool if i used black lights in my trunk. Darksyde
The module detects sound and vibration. It does not connect to the speakers or amp in anyway. The neon's however need to be hooked to the module, obviously. The power lost from neon's are very very small.

Darksyde
lol oh yea the neons....well mine started their life with cigarette lighter adapters on them. I ended up cutting that off and running the ground to steel in the trunk and the power to the blue amp feed on the amp.
Puggsley456
I've seen some cool things done with LED's inside the subwoofer box. But It only works if the cone of the sub is a light color.
Garrett Powered
well if its rattling enough to break the glass then just reinforce the faceplate. double or triple layer it with glass or medite or both. I got 5 1/2" thick faceplate and you put your hand on it at full volume and its dead.
