What should I do with these badges?

  1. 1. What should I do with these badges?

    • Paint them white
    • Leave them grey
    • Don't use them at all

When I was at the j/y a couple of weeks ago I grabbed 3 STE badges off of a couple GPs. The badges are the standard grey and I was considering painting them white and tossing them on my STE as there are no badges due to the repaint. I keep going back and forth as to even put any badges on or not :dunno:

Here they are as they sit right now. (Grey)

If you painted them white but left the borders as they are (chrome?), that would look great IMO. Tricky to do that, tho- you could paint the whole thing then lightly sand the paint off the edges, but you'll risk sanding off the chrome. You could use good quality masking tape and mask off the chrome edges. HTH

Personally, I like badges, I have a few on the Mach 5 (too many, I sometimes think). IMHO you gotta advertise what you've got if you're proud of it. FWIW

White with chrome trim ala TSTE would be sweet. Otherwise none at all.

Did you get them off that Green STE at partsgalore?

I haven't seen the green one yet...I got two off of the blue/silver two tone one and one off of a white one a couple weeks ago

I like the idea of white with chrome trim. Maybe I'll find a second set and try that out.

I think that I am going to try painting one of them white to see how it turns out. I will post pics once I get a finished one
