Hairdo12
I just used dupli color auto clear coat. No problems now for three years... I painted my wheels aluminum first instead of buffing them however.
cwsigmund
You put clear coat on aluminum wheels?
ToroToro
No way I would clear coat my rims...at least not the polished part. Much easier to keep polished aluminum looking good if it isn't clearcoated. Because after the clearcoat gets dull/chipped/scratched, it's a lot more work to get everything shiney again then if you just left the aluminum bare. You dont need high temp shit though. I can touch my rims and not get even close to burned, even after a spirited drive.

1990lumina
Yeah salt corrodes that....I noticed my wheels look MUCH MORE shittier this spring in comparison to last fall....the areas with no clear coat were shiney last year , and this spring they are corroded badly...oh well
97CuttySupSL
icic....it might be just as easy as to swap rims as the season changes..
