I want to get this thing lined up. Its been like this since I bought it, and I'm pretty sure it's from an accident repair (which is fine, i dont care), but it's just not lined up right, and it's finally starting to drive me insane

Is the hood sitting too high, or the fender too low?

Normally to adjust body panels, you loosen the bolts and then the panel can move. I usually just loosen them enough that it can be moved with a little force, but with still enough friction left so it doesn't just move all around.

On the hood and fenders though, I'm not even sure vertical adjustment is possible. There might just be something bent in the hinge that needs to be bent back with force.

well, I'm pretty sure the fender is off, not the hood, because it doesn't quite line up at the top corner, where the hood, fender, and door all almost come together. The hood and door look to be on the same line, and the fender looks like its too far down

I know for sure there is no vertical adjustment possible on the fender. I'm guessing it's either an aftermarket replacement, or the frame is still tweaked a little. Probably the only thing you could really do is shim it up a bit.

hmm, sounds likely. Anyone have a 94 fender, prefferably in white?

Check if that fender has the VIN stickered or stamped on it.....I know every body panel on my car has the VIN stickered onto it....unless someone got smart and just put the old sticker on the new panel.

so... how do you adjust the hood then? I'm pretty sure I can at least make that gap a lot smaller
