97CuttySupSL Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 so i was told by a friend that you are able to put the supercharger fro the 3.8 onto a 3.1...that is with chaing pretty uch the whole intake..but after doing all that i wondered if the motor will hold all the extra power..i dont know if this is possible..i was just challenged with the ?? digitaloutsider Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Your friend is a total dipshit. You can't just slap the 3800 M90 onto the 3100. You can't even put the intake from the 3800 on the 3100. The 3800 is a 90 Degree V6 and your 3100 is a 60 Degree. Anything relating to a turbo or supercharger and your 3100 will have to be custom fabricated. There is no direct-swap power adder. Quote
97CuttySupSL Posted April 16, 2006 Author Report Posted April 16, 2006 alright thanks now i can just tear him a new 1 when we talk bout it Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 RSM used to sell one a year or more ago if IRC...but I'm not sure. Either way, like shaun said it's gotta be all custom work now. Quote
nebojsa_o Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 Yea RSM did sell one about a year ago, when I got my car, they wanted like $5000 bucks for it if I remember that right. Quote
Euro Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 yeah and it gave like a whopping 80hp i think Quote
jeremy Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 you could always get one of the "superchargers" pictured below Quote
NOHC_WBody Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 you could always get one of the "superchargers" pictured below I gots onea dem'.. When I put my Tornado inline with it, the exhaust manifolds blew off the heads & the crankshaft struck the ground with such force that it propelled the car end over end exactly 1320 feet down the track, landed in the timing lights and got me a 6.59 @ 198mph Good thing I didn't install the whistle tip or the AIT resistor mod with them otherwise I'd have entered orbit. Euro Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 wooo TORNADO!! those things do absolutely jack shit I loved watching all the suckers gazing in amazement at the booth Tornado had at the Chevy Vettefest back in march Quote
intern8tion9l Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 hahaha. i was debating between the tgp motor or the tornado for the 2.8. after many sleepless nights i came to the realization that i just couldn't handle the sheer power produced by the tornado Quote
digitaloutsider Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 I took the M90 off the Regal and put that electric supercharger on it. Boy am I glad I did that. No more parasitic power loss, no more heat soak, and I run like 9's. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 That's different than the e-ram or whatever electric "turbo" right? Quote

fastbird232 Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 Wise advice. I've seen 2.8s blow their heads through the hood from the raw horsepower. Quote
