digitaloutsider
I've got two old school 12" Kicker XPL subs in my car, unfortunately the last owner chose a shitty Kicker amp to power them. You've got to have a good amp for these things to sound good. I've heard them mated to an old school SoundStream amp, and the sound, depth, clarity, and response is phenominal. With my POS Kicker amp, they distort under really high volume, and generally just sound like shit. Once I get a little money I'm going to invest in a good amp. I'd love to get a ZAPCO amp of some flavor, but I don't have the desire to spend more on my amp than most people spend on their entire systems.
