90lumina
Hi everyone. I 'm new to this site and I was wondering if someone could help me out with my 1990 lumina 3.1 auto. Here are the parts that I have replaced so far, aftermarket intake, map sensor, intake gaskets, pcv valve, First of all, when I get a check engine light it emit the egr code 32 so I disconnected it because if it is connected the car will stall. So is the egr bad or could it be something else? Second my low pressure and high pressure ac switch have been cut and now all I have is wires hanging. Can someone post a pic of there engine bay showing where this switches go? From what I have concluded is that they are on the compressor? Plus, when I press the ac button my ac fan does not come on. I was reading that it has to be on high and max or something is that true. In addition, I know that both fan work because when I tap into the engine codes the fans both turn on. Third I had a fuel pressure test and the mechanic stated that the fuel pressure was constant at 35psi. I heard that 47psi is normal. So what would cause the low pressure, could it be a vacuum line or the pressure regulator? Fourth, I think that my car cooling is messed up somewhere. I looked into the radiator and noticed the coolant flowing, so I don't think that it is clogged. It weird because I have sprang few external leaks first from heater lines, then the heater core, then coolant temp sensor on the intake manifold, next the upper hose now I'm back to the coolant temp sensor. Its like a piece of cheese or something. Although I have noticed that my belt tensioner jumps and it does not stay constant. Could that be causing the water pump not to always run or is the belt tensioner supposed to do that. I got this car as a work vehicle and now its working me to a complete restoration. Please help.
