Cam'ron
how do i change my rear spark plugs.... J/K on a serious note... i am prolly gonna do this before too long but i wanted to know without starting a flame war about brands or whatever (i will probably stick with delcos) for the price of new plug wires should i replace them at the same time or should there really be no reason to change wires at 60,000Km. and with the hesitation that my car has at idle every now and then is there anything else i should be looking at replacing, i have replaced the fuel filter already and that didnt change the idle lump, i am going in the right direction to solve this right. THe_DeTAiL3R
I really doubt the wires need to be changed at 60,000km (36,000miles). If you change the plugs just be sure you twist them a bit before pulling, and put some di-electric grease on the boots so they come off easy next time (and avoid corrosion). 3400s always seem a little bit of a rougher engine, I would do a top-end clean and see if that helps. Cam'ron
ive seen engines that are a little bit rougher and this one is ROUGH it will chug so hard everyonce in a while sitting at a light i think i have my RV cam back in there from the regal, almost stalls out and then hits 1000 then drops to 500 then back to 650-700 and stays there, next light it does the same thing. What top end cleaner do you reccomend, is lucas any good?
THe_DeTAiL3R
I didn't know Lucas made a top end cleaner ?? I would buy Seafoam or AC Delco Cleens. Suck it in the vacuum line.. I think the procedure is in the FAQs (or SHOULD be anyways).
19Cutlass94
There should be no reason to change plugs at that mileage. After you do a tune up and run some seafoam through it and it still has that problem, then change the wires.
Cam'ron
where do i get the seafoam stuff and there is no write up in the FAQ's that i could see
THe_DeTAiL3R
CarQuest sells seafoam. GM dealership sells CLEENS (it's not really that expensive either).

Psych0matt
Autozone has it, and i think advance should too. I always changed my wires every tune up on my cavalier, but that's cuz i got the lifetime autozone specials, so i would just take the set and get free new ones
Cam'ron
yeah we dont have autozone or advance either ... what does it look like so i can look for it in a store we do have up here
19Cutlass94
EDIT my other post should have said wires... it was kinda late If theres a NAPA by you, they will have the seafoam. Basically its like a white and red can that says seafoam on it. Once you see it you wont miss it.
