odee
have found time to work on the 92 3.1 gran prix I got last year. I swapped in some different injectors along with a different fuel pressure regulator and some more fresh gas. Engine idles and sounds alot better. Still not getting the cooling fans to come on. Tried turning the a/c on still don't run. Fans will run when relay is remove and power jumped. Will run when engine is off with the jumper wire in the adld port under dash. I have put a new coolant temp send and sender for the dash gauge. Also swapped in a different computer to check to see if I got a bad computer. Could I have gotten a bad temp switch? Also my oil pressure in the dash is reading up around 80 or better. Could the oil sending unit be bad also? Anyone got the pin outs for these cars? I could check for a broken wire or bad connection to the relays.

Its the one located on the lower intake manifold, right under the T-stat.
odee
that is the two prong swicth right under the theromstat housing right? I replaced that one also. I put the car up over the winter to work on other stuff in the shop because it is a extra. I found another car with a factory replacement computer and tried that yesterday before I swapped out the injectors and fuel rails. I think it is in the wiring some how. I swapped out the oil pressure switch to get the same problem pegged out gauge.
SigEpCutlass
Are you absolutely certain that the fans are not bad? I know our cars commonly just have these fans go bad. It's something cheap and simple to fix, so you might want to look into that if you haven't.
odee
thanks, when the relay is jumped out the fans run. Also run when key is on engine off and the adld jumped out. It is something on the coil ground side of the relay not making up.
