birdman
well i finally took the car to a dealer to see what exactly was causing the running rich and bogging and they said that the cat was restricted and it was out of time. i was kinda mad to hear just that because i kinda already knew that. still seems a little weird thats causing it and im not totally convinced thats it. does that sound right or was he full of bs? chadz34
It might be, did it ever smell like rotten eggs? If it were clogged, after you drove it for a while it would be pink and real friggen hot.
birdman
well the running rich smell kinda takes over but there is somthing else in there to so it might, and about the glowing, iv never really looked.
skiiirt
Why not fix the problems you know of, then if you still have problems go to the dealership? I dont quite understand your process. You know whats broken yet you still take it in to find out whats wrong with it and are mad when they tell you whats wrong? I dont want to come off as an asshole but that sounds really silly to me
birdman
i get what your saying but neither of those problems were what i thought would be causing my strange bogging problem, and i wanted to know everything wrong with it so when i started working on it i could do it all without reworking some things, like if i were to do the timing and forget to pull the o2 out and change it while i had the intake off i would have to remove it again and waste time. yea its kinda ass backwards but i just want to get everything done so its runs like a champ again, thats all. 95 3-4
What you put a timing belt on it and the cam timing is off ?
birdman
no, but ive known there is a possibility the timing was off and they told me it was for sure. now im going to do it once im confident enough to do it.
