GrandPrix34 Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 WOO HOO!! Got that damn bracket out without having to remove the timing chain cover...oh man, it was a journey! I actually had to cut a slit in the fender to be able to reach the bolt. there's the blasted bracket! notice at the left, its missing a piece that holds the other knub of the tensioner actuator...the primary reason the belt kept getting eaten.. Its the tensioner actuator bracket: part # 10162152 in case someone searches the forum in the future the bolt part number, I'd have to get from the GM dealership, but I'll just gmpartsdirect everything! :-D here's the pic of the bolt Notice the hole in the bolt? I had to drill through the whole and use an extractor because the damn torx bit destroyed the entire bolt at first Quote
SleeperRed90TGp Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Good job. I assume the slot was in the inner fender panel. It's made to cut. I have a 2 1/2 hole in mine to change cams. Do what you gotta do. These cars are a journey all the time. Jud Quote
