1BadPrix Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 I think i may sell my red gtp. It is a 98 with 148K miles on it. It has everything available from a 98 except 6 disc cd changer. The only thing that i know for sure that is wrong is the abs light and trac control lights are on. Seems like a fairly common problem on the 98's. Question is if i was going to sell it what do you think i should ask for? It has new water pump, new gaskets from the heads up, new thermostat (180 drilled), new struts and new tires. The bad is the abs light & trac light, tear on the side of the drivers seat and steering wheel control lights burnt out. Tell me what you think? William Quote
97loudcut Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 I wouldnt pay more than 3500 for it Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 According to the Canadian Black book it's worth.....................$0.00 (The mileage was too high) With 215,000km (130,000miles) Low: $3,363.00 High: $4,863.00 (4,188.63 USD) however since your car has a SHITLOAD of miles... I'd have to agree with $3500 at best. Quote
Robby1870 Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 It's worth whatever you can sell it for in your area. List it above what you want to get out of it, see how it goes. Then lower the price accordingly until people start to become interested Quote
Euro Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 yea i agree with robby....around here it would probably sell for around 3-4k are there any mods done to it? Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Some places here are still getting 7-8K for '98 GTP's. Although I think the mileage would kill it here, you could still squeeze 5k if it was perfect working condition. Quote
chadz34 Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Bring it here I sold my Cavalier for 2 grand! And I only paid 600 for it. Quote
psychopyro31106 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 put an asking price on it, and like $5000 on the window, and eventually someone will pay that, just wait it out a few months... Quote
fastbird232 Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Second generation GTPs still go for $4000-$6000 up here. Put a high price on it and someone will make you a good deal. Quote
