95oldsVan
Was just curious,my 91 Lumina,I can change the front struts by removing the plates off the towers in the engine bay and with a special tool, take them out.Did they stop doing this after a certain year where you need to take the struts out from under the car and use a spring compressor to change them out? Thanks!

White93z34
the newer ones yes. the 97- present prix', regal/century, etc all had the standard style struts where you need a spring compressor. but the 88-96 w cars (+the 97 cutlass) all had the cartridge style struts that i know and love.
