Need a New DIC?

Recommended Posts

Every time I start my TGP, the DIC tells me I need to rotate Tires, change oil, etc. I did a search and tried resetting it and every time I do, it flashes "MISS OP" then starts the list over. Should I just get a new DIC? Or is there something else I should try?

Thanks,

Mitch

cycle to the reminder you want to reset. then you need to hold the reset button down until you see a mileage counter. then the option is reset.

When your resetting your DIC it is sometimes tricky, I know i did the same thing that you did for like 2 weeks and got really frustrated, then i read my owners manual.. probly shoulda read that a long time ago. Anyways, to reset the stuff, press SERVICE it will scroll once with the OIL CHANGE, then it will scroll a second time and stay there for a couple seconds, that is when you press and hold RESET. The longer you hold reset, the more Miles will go down, I think it starts at 4800, and goes down by 100 for as long as you hold the RESET button. Do this for every service that is on your DIC. To set your compass your must first set the car facing north and hit the little square button that says north, then it will say calibrate compass, when that comes up turn your wheel all the way to the right and go about 5 or 10 miles an hour in a complete circle without stopping, you will probly have to do 2 full complete circles for it to set. Do this in an empty parking lot.

Hope this helps you out. Add me to MSN darren_thebod@hotmail.com

Having a DIC is the coolest thing, especially when you're in a w-body. Girls love the DIC.
