Calvin
At one point I went to get a replacement steering rack, and the parts guy said there was a 2.75 and a 2.25 turns lock to lock version. I would obviously prefer the quicker of the two so I can steer and shift without having to palm it. My question is: What cars got the higher ratio, and what RPO code identifies this 'high rate' rack? I want to see if I can find one used. Is this an item restricted to turbo or DOHC cars or what? Thanks Kurt
DaveFromColorado
not sure 'bout what other cars got it, but I know at the very least the 91 and 92 Lumina Z34's got it for sure. --Dave.
Calvin
All Zs got it or it was an option for all 91-92 Z34s?
GutlessSupreme
I hate to seem like an ass again, but http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?action=search there ARE very detailed posts on this... that said, no one has been able to relate the ratios to part numbers. and I don't believe RPO codes have been either.
