boulevard
Car: Chevrolet Lumina Z34 1993 Auto Problem: Need to replace O2 Sensor What is the best recommended method to replace this oxygen sensor? From the bottom looks impossible, from the top looks better but do I have to remove the plenum? What the best way? Thank You!
DaveFromColorado
I don't think you HAVE to pull the plenum, but I did on mine, and it made the job go much easier for me ... --Dave.
BandaorICE
I just changed my O2 on my '92 Z34. I pulled the plenum..got in there with an O2 socket+swivel+extentions. Be prepared to go through MULTIPLE swivels. I broke 4 craftsman swivels. Must have been the original O2 sensor. Anyway, Pulling the plenum and going from the top is way easy. Hardest part is breaking the sensor free.
slick
An offset O2 sensor socket and many swivels and extensions will be your friend.
