Intercooler from ZZPerformance

I was just looking for some feedback on the intercooler that is available from these guys, I am looking at getting the unit they have for 500.00 and was curious to know if anyone here has experience with it and what kind of outcome they have gotten from it. Obviously the more expensive unit gives much more gains, but I am the type of person that has a very hard time holding on to larger amounts of money, so the 500 dollar gig would be much easier for me. I would also like to know how much of a pain in the ass one of them is to install. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

It actually is not too bad. I installed one on someones GTP's and he saw good gains from it. I think he dropped 2 pulley sizes IIRC (from a 3.4 to a 3.2), and he ended up gaining like 3-4 tenths in the 1/4 from what I remember. For him it ended up working out pretty well. I know a lot of people have used it and saw good gains. Of course its not too long after that they wished they had installed the full size unit. Realistically it gives about half the gain that the full size intercooler gives, and thats not really too bad.

I can't say anything bad about it. Although I think I would do some other mods before installing it. Pushing more boost into an engine that is still stock is basically pointless with a positive displacement blower. You'd see a much larger gain if you had some valvetrain & exhaust mods.
